# Add Gameboy emulator

Hey,

I have a topic that concerns two categories: Games and Emulator. I decided to write here: So I would like to play the classic Tetris game and need to add a new emulator for the first gameboy.

i tried to download a new core with retroarch, but i don’t know how it really works. Maybe someone could give me an short tutorial or a first step for a solution, please.

That would be great! Thanks 🙂

ok for everybody who like to play classic gameboy games (gb) – like Tetris, Choplifteror or so on…

add the file extension to the action.config file:  
`home/cpi/apps/launcher/Menu/GameShell/20_Retro Games/MGBA`

So this like this:

```
ROM=/home/cpi/games/MGBA![22|690x353](upload://kI2zkb5uv3ZcyKbLZLvgfTngz99.png)
ROM_SO=/home/cpi/apps/emulators/mgba_libretro.so
EXT=gba,gbx,gb
LAUNCHER=retroarch -L
TITLE=MGBA Roms
SO_URL=http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/linux/armhf/latest/mgba_libretro.so.zip

```

But mgba on the GS is so slow…  
I’d recommend gambatte for GB©
