# DevTerm Keyboard Connector proprietary?

Is the keyboard connector on the main board some kind of proprietary set up or is it basically just set up similarly to USB? Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else but I’m relatively inexperienced when it comes to reading circuit diagrams so I’m not quite sure what protocol the connection is using. Just trying to figure out other possible uses for that connector.

The pinout its an USB, so if you were to solder a USB it will work. The connector is called pogo pins.

You can also use the microB USB connector on the side to plug the keyboard if that’s really what you are into.
Though do not use both at the same time.
