Elite and Chuckie Egg in MMBasic now available

matherp has recently posted MMBasic conversions of the BBC Micro games Elite and Chuckie Egg on thebackshed forum. These both run on the PicoCalc but you will need to update the firmware to the latest beta version. I’ve tested both briefly and they both seem to run well.

I’ve tested using the standard RP2350 build. I don’t suppose either will run on a RP2040 and I haven’t tried a RP2350 web version

OMG! Elite 1984 is one of the first 3D video games I saw and played in University (one of my Computer Science classes was Computer Graphics, so I had a particular interest in this game). This is awesome to see ported to MMBASIC!

I’m sure all the hype will be for Elite, but I have to admit I logged way more hours playing Chuckie Egg! thanks for sharing this!! :growing_heart:
