Hello Im lowlevel-user(newbie]. When i search for ways to install FEX-emu it show me for Unbuntu and Debian. But i can’t install from apt and can’t find wget depository or other metods. Can you please help me? Thank you very much ---

So you’re running a Debian-based distro. Which one, though? The same Github page also specifies how you may install for your distro: ```auto curl --silent https://raw.githubusercontent.com/FEX-Emu/FEX/main/Scripts/InstallFEX.py | python3 ``` The command assumes you have Python and `curl` installed. **Also, be warned that the command is suggested for Ubuntu, not Debian, so _do it at your own risk_.** ---

Before they dropped support for GCC, you could compile it for any distro on uConsole. I was working on a script to build it on uConsole but with clang it’s more complicated ---

Was that post highly charged? Lower level can mean at a finer granularity, yes, but it can also mean that someone hasn’t “leveled” past a beginner status. Lately I’ve generally softened when it comes to poor typing/syntax, given how much AI spam comes through nowadays. It used to be that the bar to entry was carefully typing your question, now the typing alone can’t be taken for granted. The Github page says the following should work for Debian-based systems: ```sh curl --silent https://raw.githubusercontent.com/FEX-Emu/FEX/main/Scripts/InstallFEX.py | python3 ``` Though as your doctor I must recommend that you take this pill under professional supervision as `curl`ing into a shell or Python interpreter is terrifying practice: ```sh curl -O https://raw.githubusercontent.com/FEX-Emu/FEX/main/Scripts/InstallFEX.py less InstallFEX.py # does it say "installing malware now"? python3 InstallFEX.py # otherwise go ahead ``` ---

When i started that _curl_ in terminal, it say only for Ubuntu. This is why i started this Topic, because im newbie in linux and cannot find any working manual “ **How to install Fex-emu”** to debian (Bookworm). So when i have time, i go ahead a try compile it on sugestion of RYN ---

So i have installed FEX, its very strange and have problem with Unity engine (have problem with atomics?), the only two games that works withnout problem is “Roadwarden” and “Into the Breach” so Hurayyy. This is for Debian Distros. Use “trinitys” link fom 21/1//2026 up here. This is for those, that are new at Linux and ARM64 Debian. Script for Installation is not working, its for Unbuntu not Debian. Im newbie, so this is not foolproof. 1. You have install all dependencies as listed in wiki for Debian/Unbuntu then download source from FEX-Emu, version of dependencies are Bookworm “12”, Trixie “13”, Bullseye is not supported 2. Compile as is writen in wiki of FEX-Emu 3. Reboot and troubleshoting 4. Terminal “FEXConfig” - you have to set filesystem and then can or not play with conguration 5. To start installers use FEX prefix in Terminal, and then installed programs run automaticly in FEX or you have eperiment how to get them runing
