Not received my U-console

Stop justifying their shady practice. You can build a geekworm cm5 equivalent in less than a week for half the price and get the screen an keyboard delivered to you in aweek. I design pcb that i populate in lesser tine than clockworkpi. Uconsole production is bullshit

Im well over 200 bizness days. Alex a BOFH excuse calandar. You cant spin the fact a bare console was promissed 2 times that i would deliver in 90days and here we are some 9 months later do the math , they have 10 days of work per month now ?

Alex said the same supply bs last year arount that time about cases availability. Its getting a habbit of always act like a startup that had Everything to succeed but failed miserably like absolute biguinners

I would agree with uneek that there is really no reason for ClockworkPI to have such long lead times and communicate so little on order delivery schedule (just: ā€˜we’ll let you know’). Their products get a lot of praise online and they get a good level of orders (I placed two orders within 2 days and the order# increased by 130 → 65 orders/day).

Are the long lead times only for the US (extended by ClockworkPI in the hope that tariffs will decrease) or worldwide?

lead times are worldwide
and because of the free file downloads order numbers are inflated a bit

I’m sorry you’ve had to wait so long. Might wanna get the upgrade to the CM5/16gb Lite underway as that made a bigtime bump from the CM4.

If you backpack to China, and pick it up, I’ll personally reimburse you the cost of the uConsole.

Maybe mine will show up someday. Maybe not . Money is long gone I guess it’s my own fault for not doing the research first. Lesson learned and moving on.

That’s the way I feel, the money isn’t going to be missed this far down the road, if it turns up, good, if not I’m beyond disappointed and really… The moment has gone.

Thank you for this, been thinking about ordering one and I want it as fast as possible.

Was even debating getting it off aliExpress for faster shipping. But 100 more.

I really want this device to be kinda of a forever journal, not even sure if ima hook internet to it lol

I ordered mine in April and still didnā€˜t get it.

I don’t understand the fuss. I first heard about the uConsole over a year ago and hesitated to order one until recently. But I’ve known for over a year that the delivery can take up to twelve months. Nevertheless, recently I placed my order and now I can wait calmly, full of anticipation. It’s not my right to judge whether clockwork could deliver faster or not. Anyone who complains about clockwork’s business model should just start their own company and do it their way. And then we’ll see how things work out there…

Don’t buy one off AliExpress – yes, you may get it faster, but not only will you certainly pay more, but you will also reward the scalpers, who make the wait times longer for the rest of us. So please, don’t do it!

Some of these arguments defending Clockwork Pi are so absurd, absolving the company of ever having any kind of responsibility or standards for meeting its own terms, and having a dig at anyone who complains no matter how reasonable the criticism is. Not to direct this at you per se, but it’s kind of cult-like.

It’s a Chinese company making a product and they’re aware that their process has been substandard at times. It’s not hard to fathom why they get heat from customers at times.

Im personally not absolving them of everything, but they do clearly state on the marketplace that its a pre-order, taking about 90 business days.

That said, i fully agree that their comunication about what configurations could take longer should be made a lot more clear before the final order confirmation. Like ā€œadding a CM and/or 4G could result in your order taking significantly longer to shipā€.

In the end, Mine arrived in September after a bit under 4 months waiting, and im having an absolute blast with it. Hang in there, its worth it

Sure, I don’t have much sympathy for people who complain within the 90-day period, but Clockwork Pi is now taking substantially longer than this (and yes, we’re talking about business days factoring in holidays). There are people who have given Clockwork Pi plenty of slack well beyond 90-days and still haven’t received anything. Prospective customers should be careful as production speed is dropping away, hard.

yea, I wonder the same… Order No. 40591 …nothing yet, and I ordered without compute module!

I neither have a reason to defend clockwork nor a reason to reproach clockwork. Clockwork makes an offer and I am free to decide whether to accept this offer or not. Before placing my order, I informed myself about the terms and conditions and experiences others had with clockwork.

So I knew that it can take time. I don’t know why it takes that time, and basically I don’t care. I can imagine various reasons, but wild speculations don’t help anyone. If you don’t feel like waiting, you shouldn’t place an order or you should cancel it.

Call it a cult if you like. There are worse things. And even if it is artificial scarcity, which I personally don’t believe, that would also be legitimate.

Yes, buying products from Clockwork takes time – after all, you are buying a place in line, not a product in a warehouse, and furthermore their products are manufactured in batches, with different configurations getting shipped out at different times. And yes, Clockwork could give more accurate time estimates.

But fundamentally, if Clockwork were not an honest company they would not readily refund customers who do ask for refunds, remove parts from customers who wish to expedite their orders, and speedily send replacement parts for broken components at minimal cost regardless of why those components are broken (or even for those who just want extra components). When I accidentally damaged the glass on my PicoCalc, they immediately sent me replacement glass without question, and even charged me only for the shipping and not for the cost of the glass itself.

Those who wish to buy a Clockwork product should read up ahead of time about what they are getting into. Clockwork products are not mass-market products. Those who expect to just get a product that ā€˜just works’ after N number of days are asking to get disappointed.

And fundamentally Clockwork is a hardware company, not a software company – while they do ship some software with their products, at the end of the day it is people like myself and many others in the community who actually make their products useful. This is an important part of why people who are interested in buying a Clockwork product need to do research into the product they intend on buying.

See how you feel when you get a personal email telling you it’s going to be 90 days and then you hear NOTHING for 180 days. Let’s see how enthusiastic you are then!

I would be disappointed, but I would get over it. I’ll keep you posted if it happens to me…

It does seem to be that the people preaching patience are often the ones who waited less than 3 - 4 months, ignoring that some people are approaching almost double that time with nothing to show for it.
