Any recommendations on a good carrying case for the uconsole? Looking for something that fits it nicely, maybe with a bit of a cyberpunk/tricorder aesthetic. Please share any that you’ve found. Thanks!

I have a sandwich lunch bag shoulder cooler I carry the DevTerm in … not very cyberpunk or sifi aesthetic - but I also have a molle sling messenger bag… … Look at this need to check dimensions - Augus Leather Messenger Shoulder Crossbody Bag for Men Work Business Vintage Magnetic Buckle Big Capacity Adjustable straps (Amazon)

The best idea I’d think is to find other devices for which cases already exist and whose dimensions are highly comparable to the uConsole. Maybe there’s a kindle that’s close?

A leather case like we see on the older Sony radios would be nice.

I will try to get something done like it.

When I got my DevTerm I picked up a Nanuk 909 Waterproof Hard Case with foam insert

 ![nanuk909foam](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex029/uploads/clockworkpi/original/2X/0/0d3291347cd33680ab2918d55658a6488feb03ce.png)
I plucked out the foam and the DevTerm mostly fit OK in there. I’m hoping to find a similar case that the uConsole might fit into.

MTM makes a “[Survivor Dry Box](https://mtmcase-gard.com/products/survivor-dry-box-small-10x7x3-inch)” in a small size that I need to compare to the size of uConsole and two pieces of egg carton foam that I’ll have to add. Maybe it will fit, I’m still waiting for my uConsole before I make any case for it.

> It was snowing like crazy today so I designed this while cooped up in my home office, its a 2 piece shell add on that fixes my number one complaint about the devterm, IT NEEDS SCREWS! also some loops to put a strap on it and a picatinny system to mount junk to the thing. finally! a place for my SDR to permanently be attached to my devterm! , oh and it fits on an ender 3 so yall can actually print it. uses M3 hardware with press in nuts to clamp the whole thing together, cur…

so it needs more space for transport and storage..

I don’t think it’s wide enough? Isn’t the uConsole 5 inches?

I have a few of these Wynex pouches in various sizes I keep my gadgets and amateur radio gear in. I love them because I can attach them to my SOG backpack when I go out.

I’d think a uConsole would fit nicely in one of these and some room for a charger and some SDR/antennas etc .

Last month I bought a couple of cheap travel cases for action cameras for another project and the uConsole fits nicely in them - just use a pair of scissors to trim the cutouts.

I need to look at something to cover the screen as if I out something in the pouch it could be an issue - hence currently got some of the cutout foam in there, but it works nicely.

Just got this case, fits well, a little too large but not bad and it has a handle as well.

More nerd oriented that tactical. 😃
