I saw that. What about the editor so I can start a new basic program? Currently I have a Pimoroni Picoplus 2w loades with PicoMiteRP2350V6.03 on it. EDIT brings up the editor. Does this not happen in Picware?
No it doesn’t. You could use the Text Editor, but Picoware’s MMBasic support is currently for executing files
OK. I guess I’ll just keep both my PicoPlus 2w and Pico 2w in the box and switch when needed.

tried to update the PicoCalc and got the error “incomplete got 7039 expected 8129”.

It’s not as integrated as the standalone MMBasic but I create source code with the Text Editor and then run it from MMBasic. If you try it, make sure to create the file in the area where MMBasic looks. If you open MMBasic and your program isn’t listed, you’ll know you created it in the wrong place. Use File Manager to move it.
