I feel a bit silly for asking this, I just got my uConsole, and can’t for the life of me get the top screws on the back plate to fasten. Am I missing something very obvious or is there something wrong with my uconsole? The screws on the bottom half fastens just right, and I have tried switching them around.

Check the state of the threads in the affected screw holes. Y’know, those grooves inside. If they’re smooth (?), or the hole is bigger than your screw, you may need to contact Clockwork for a replacement chassis (the middle aluminum alloy plate that holds the juicy parts), or order a different set of screws.

can you screw screws without backplate? some people wrote here that they had to buy longer screws and it solved the issue.

You can try it for yourself. I haven’t done so with mine, but I bet I can screw it in, silly as it sounds.

Thanks for the help guys, I think I’m going to buy some longer screws since the grooves seem to be okay 🙂
