# Swapping the A-06 for a CM4

I have a uConsole with the A-06. It works great. I also have an 8gb CM4 and the module adapter. Can I just swap the cpu modules or do I need another SD card with a different flavor of Armbian Linux?

I believe you will need to re-image your SD card for the CM4.

Where can I download the correct image for both the CM4 and the A-06?

you need to change distributions because the CM4 has a custom boot script. Linked above are the OS images.

curious as to the performance difference - more memory might make a difference over slightly faster processor… I updated the CM4 module to a 4GB unit from a 2 - it made considerable difference in webpage use… unit had a tendency to lock up

makes sense, seeing the state of modern web browsers. there are light weight web browsers available though like ladybird, dillo, and icecat. though none of them are very good at being browsers.
