Based on previous discussions and the lack of a linux host client where you can easily send and receive messages. I decided to create a simple one to play around with.

Its easier if you do, but it does not require the AIO to run, you can configure it to use anything pyMC supports, including waveshare hats and usb devices. I can only test on the AIO.

Based on pyMC\_core code I got more familiar while making a packet analyser I’ve created a basic meshcore client.

It is very basic but allows you to join channels, public or private, and send direct messages if you care to type/paste the public key.

It needs a lot of work to be great but it is what I could spin up on a lazy Saturday. So expect weird codebase with lots of AI mess in there I have to cleanup eventually.

The code is provided as is, no support other than my good will to improve it.
Pull requests are welcome as well as bug reports and feature requests. Does not mean I’ll be able to get to them tho.

This looks promising! Next week I am about to receive the big LiPo battery pack and the AIO large number antenna pack. My console is in pieces right now, but after that I’ll give it a try.

I did get a report and a fix for this very issue on the github page. I am super busy and wont be able to get to it to prevent it more easily until end of next month I think you can get a solution quicker if you check this issue [python-periphery library error... · Issue #1 · guax/tui-meshcore · GitHub](https://github.com/guax/tui-meshcore/issues/1)
