Hi there,
So I am trying to install Rex’s Ubuntu on the NVME drive, but after flashing and powering up, the screen remains dark- it does not even light up.
When Ubuntu is flashed to a microSD card, it works fine.
When I flash the Trixie image to NVME, it works fine.
I flash to NVME using RPI imager on Trixie running from microSD card in the uConsole.
Any idea where the problem might be?
My setup: CM5 Lite 16GB, HackerGadget’s Adapter board for CM5 + Battery board with NVME + expansion board [USB A+C + RJ45.]

With the upcoming release of NVME capable adapter boards from @vileer & @lululvlv I have changed up the EEPROM config to be able to use them.
If you have a CM5 lite and are having problems with the sd card booting or have already updated the config but plan on getting a NVMe board. You need to edit your EEPROM and your CM5 lite has to have updated firmware that was released after 2025-01-06. Check using vcgencmd version to update sudo rpi-eeprom-update
sudo rpi-eeprom-config -e To edit the eep…

yes, when I flash trixie to the NVME it works fine. I have noticed in the config.txt that there was dtparam=pciex1=off - so i removed “=off” - as it is in the trixie config - still no joy
I have the exact same problem. Trixie runs fine from my 1TB and 2TB NVMe drives but Ubuntu won’t run on either.
