I have a uconsole working properly with a googleFI DATAONLY sim card installed. I can confirm by disabling the wifi that the LTE is connected and sending/receiving data.
When I toggle on hotspot mode I can connect to the network that is created by uConsole but no cellular data is being sent or received on the tethered device. Uconsole still receives data however through cellular.
I went through a bunch of troubleshooting and hit a wall. Basically from what I can tell the hotspot requires IPV4 to share cellular data with the tethered device but the googleFI data only sim is assigning IPV6.
I have tried multiple resets to attempt to get googleFI/Tmobile to handshake over IPV4, it seems like a configuration on their side (probably deliberately to prevent hotspotting).
Is there a work around to this or am I SOL?
TY!
