hi all

i finally received my AIO board and had good fun getting all services running.

- Meshtastic
- GPS with gpsshare and GPSD
- TAR1090
- SDR
etc etc.

I noticed that for meshtastic, even though i have set the GPS to the right port (e.g. /dev/ttyS0), it doesn’t seem to pick up the position of the device. The settings seems to indicate a “pin”. I am able to retrieve proper positioning directly though. i can manually feed the position to meshtastic via the commandline. Has anyone gotten meshtastic on uConsole to work with GPS position?

Thanks for any advice

Hi @Rex… thanks for the pointer. i have GPS in meshtastic web set to “Smart Position”-\>ON
GPS “Enabled” form Meshtastic Web. But looking at the Meshtastic MUI, the position says “00. 00”. is that the same for what you have tried?

ah i figured out why… it seems that meshtasticd needs to directly probe the port and does not respond to just devices producing NEMA sentences… i have to shut down pygpsclient before being able to use it!
