So do it, I’d personally rather just get on with my own stuff for a year while an existing company makes what looks like a very exciting product which I bought for a relatively low price. All you have to do is sit on your butt for a few months, while someone else does all the hard work.
I looked at the pocket chip, but didn’t like the dome buttons, a shame as it seems like a nice platform.

It’s frustrating because of the lack of communication and apparent disorganisation (when the company doesn’t know what is going on what batch).
Waiting for the uConsole made me break out my PocketCHIP again. Now that I have a 3d printer, I decided to print a new faceplate with a built-in keyboard – the difference is night and day over those dome buttons. Honestly, though, having to navigate with the resistive touchscreen still kinda kills it for me. Having a trackball like the uConsole will be a much better experience, I think. Also having a resolution better than the PocketCHIP’s abysmal 480x272.

i have a beepy pi (pi zero with blackberry keyboard) terminal line entry only - got it last august … it has it’s uses … todolist, telnet , putty…
I also ordered OVER a year ago, October 2022, and am still waiting for a reply not to mention what I paid for… Does anyone have any insight as to the intentions and integrity of this company? Frankly, some of the explanations reported here sound extremely flaky…
I’m trying to say that I actively am. I just got all the licensing finished for a C-Corp for making electronics and robotics.

well that’s awesome. What are you going to make? Something very similar to the uConsole or do you have a different take on it?
i used this as the basis BlackberryPi Handheld Computer by martja - Thingiverse and this Amazon.com and actually built myself a damned pi3 portable device with touch screen. sure, it’s not a pi4 and it doesn’t have an aluminum alloy case but i also didn’t have to wait a year+ to get it.

I’m in China and just received 2 shipping notifications today by sf-express.
I asked them a few days ago about when my order(December, last year) would be shipped, and their reply was within a week.
My another order is February this year, and to my surprise it was also shipped today,I should receive them in two or three days.
I think they have a larger production volume this time.

I have a DevTerm it was not this late and they where better on communication , not sure what is going on with them . but units are shipping out just much later than we would like - ps I purchased mine last year in November for Christmas LAST year . might get it before Christmas THIS year so I understand your impatience - a little communication would go a long way.
now order-waiting-shipping become a major life event for me

I decided to cancel my two orders, I really can’t see myself waiting a year or more. Hopefully they will become easier to get in the next couple of years and I can order again.
For now I’m finishing a cyberdeck to have fun with Linux and DIY stuff…

I just ordered a second uConsole - R01 , CM4 adapters (2) (one for my DevTerm) , I ordered an A-06 LAST year… we’ll see which one gets here first!
