@Rex Just wanted to say thanks for the work with the OS images.
really awersome work 🤟
I got my Uconsole about a week ago now and installed Debian 13 Trixie on it with a CM5 4GB wifi lite.
I could not help my self and wanted KDE instead of Gnome or what ever the standard is that is installed.
But when using SDDM for the login screen everything was rotated 90 degrees to the right, but after login everything was OK again.

Any way long story short… I used what an old fart like me could remember about SDDM config and Claude.ai and made a small script for rotating the SDDM login screen.

not sure if others have this problem or just me because of KDE 😉
but anyway the script / info about the rotation can be found here.

Yeah the screen is native portrait so any new software you installed that isn’t already configured we’ll use the screen as portrait instead of landscape. But changing the login screen desktop or CLI is literally just change in a config file somewhere.

I am having an issue with new replacement screen that was sent to me because my unit had a bad screen see pictures below. Top picture is my old screen from a older Uconsole which looks fine. Now look at the replacement screen at the bottom it’s really washed out and badly calibrated I have sent these pictures to Alex to investigate the issue.

cm5, battery level below 50%?

> [@Audio noise when low power workaround](https://forum.clockworkpi.com/t/audio-noise-when-low-power-workaround/21014):
>
> It seems the issue is power saving mode on linux, at least for ubuntu, turn off sound card power saving. There should be similar settings for other distributions. For Ubuntu, edit the file: sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/snd-usb-audio.conf Add the following content: options snd\_usb\_audio power\_save=0 Save and reboot. No noise on battery less than 15%, no noise on less than 10%.
