I upgraded my uconsole to a cm5 lite 4gb from a cm4 also got the adapter board and the battery adapter with nvme slot using a gen 3 nvme ssd and it is slower than when I had a cm4 with a sd card. Any help or wisdom would be appreciated.

what do you mean? slower UI, slower file operations, slower booting time?

can you please run in the console `free -wh` and put there result?

is it hot?

Did you try to underclock your cm5? Do you have in your `/boot/firmware/config.txt` something like it:
_( [Overclocking and \*Underclocking\* the Raspberry Pi 5 - Jeff Geerling](https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2023/overclocking-and-underclocking-raspberry-pi-5/) )_

# IMPORTANT: See note below

# Set the Arm A76 core frequency (in MHz; default 2400).
arm_freq=3000

# Set the VideoCore VII core frequency (in MHz; default 800).
gpu_freq=1000

Alright so I think I made a mistake when I was setting it up when you boot for the first time I was letting it update the image I got from Rex and updating it to something that wasn’t truly optimized for the uconsole so I tried doing with out that and it seems like it’s running as I would expect sorry for the confusion

But to try to answer you the best I can it wasn’t running hot only around 40 degrees. everything was slower opening any app took forever.
