What did you do with your old CM4?

I decided to upgrade to a CM5, meaning I now have a spare CM4 sitting around with nothing to do. I’m wondering what everybody else did with their old CM4’s.

Put it into an IO board to be a little server or spare desktop computer for kids.

I have a cm4 IO board with case and some accessories that I’ve been thinking about selling. If you want to shoot me a DM.

I was debating getting a board with two nvme slots to make a more robust file server than the old thinkpad with a USB drive set up that I have now. I like the kiddie computer idea. I was planning on getting my daughter a pi500 for her 5th birthday to give her a modern c64 experience. Hopefully get her into pico 8. But I’m happy to look at what you have.

I got a Waveshare case and IO Board and replaced my old Pi3 as Openhab Home Automation server. The 1GB of RAM haven’t really been enough for a while.

Then I had to figure out something to do with thad old Pi3. You know how it goes…
