Back at it again!

After a bit of a break to deal with the joys of adulting…old sucks… I’m back at my PicoCalc’s!

Glad to see the the official Picomite firmware is finally supporting the PicoCalc. I’ve installed one of the latest releases candidate on one of my PicoCalc’s (6.02.01RC7?) and I see there’s an RC9 that I’ll grab and try tomorrow. Any version recommendations?

Was glad to see that the batteries were over 85%, and the RTC’s were up and accurate, but noticed the “m” key was finicky on my #3. It clicks down, but it needs a bit more of a push after that to register. I’ve got replacement key switches, but I’m going to have to grab some kapton tape, and a hot air rework station. I’m an old school through-hole guy, so anyone got any suggestions for pulling the switches?

Is there any way to verify the keyboard BIOS? I thought mm.info(bios) on the updated one might show something, but it doesn’t. I know 2 of mine are at 1.4, and I’m assuming the 3rd is as well because mm.info(battery) works.

Running a modified RC6 here and keyboard bios 1.6, both by @ernst . No problems apparent. Maybe upgrade all your units to bios 1.6 ?
