Fixing uConsole power delivery limitations with CM5

Have you resolved the issue of audible hissing from the speakers when the battery level is low?

did you hand solder this? or with a heat gun?

Nope. But there seems to be a workaround: https://forum.clockworkpi.com/t/cm5-speaker-static-got-you-down/19834?u=silentbyte

Did this replacement. I used a 6.3V 220uF 227J instead. it seems to work fine.

Tried connecting and disconnecting a few external drives and devices… (directly on the uconsole). the keyboard did not seem to disconnect.

Devices on my USB Bus

  1. thumbdrive (on USBA - expansion board AIOv1)
  2. USB A drawing power for my CM5 Fan (mainboard)
  3. AIOv1 board with 1TB NVME attached on USBC connector
  4. USBC connected to either Ethernet dongle or external SATA drive

I used to experience period keyboard disconnection, which i can observe in the logs.
don’t see this anymore.

does anyone know if the latest hackergadgets upgrade board does anything to address these things? cc @vileer

No, I didn’t fix this issue in the upgrade kit.
