Before MPJA went out of business I built up quite a stock pile of these in a 5mm LED through-hole package. Even though they are spec’d at 5v I often run them at 3v3 to cut down the brightness. At a full 5v they can be quite blinding. I’ve not had trouble with any of the primary colors.
