So basically for a reason idk i have the pause button asigned to “A” button, is there a way to change this? i already tried a decent amount of things in ssh and retroarch, HELP ME PLEASE

This will help you set the assignments properly
If you can not do it in RetroArch you can manually edit the config file on your SD card. This one is also described in the article.
This happened with me as well and I was only able to do fix it by editing the file
