Compute module carrier board

Anyone know if Clockwork is planning to release the kicad files for the compute module carrier board? If they did it would be fairly easy to add a connector and access the PCI bus to add an m.2 SSD internally.

More important would be to upgrade the power circuit for a bigger draw.

probally shows my inexperince i am extremely new to circuit design. I understand the process, but when it comes to making sure trace sizes are adaquite for draw and what not i am lost.

GitHub - clockworkpi/uConsole: This code repository offers downloads for the latest images of various uConsole models, along with kernel patches, firmware for the keyboard and 4G expansion module, hardware schematics, assembly instructions, and essential technical documents.

I have looked on the github. The schematics are on there, but the KiCad files are not (that I was able to find). If the KiCad files were avalible it would be a pretty easy task to break out the PCIe for an M.2.

There may be a bunch of timing and shielding considerations to get the PCIe over to a connector properly, but it would be really nice to stick like a 2230 in there for the OS. It might need an FFC to jump off to the LTE modem area (if you aren’t using the modem), then might be able to get 2280 worth of space.
