I was hoping they would eventually get restocked but after emailing them they told me it won’t be 
I would love to be able to tinker with one as the bespoke thermal printer is actually very appealing to me all in one cute body assembly!

The DevTerm was only a brief thing, they’re more interested in the uConsole. Software for the DevTerm is mostly garbage, and the operating system is so unstable you have to reflash it every week. And the hardware itself isn’t very good, what with printer support being broken, HDMI never being finished, sound drivers having to be manuallt enabled, and the display raster being misaligned on the driver level. Not worth getting unless they do a successor model that addresses these problems.
the hardware is almost exactly the same as the uconsole, all of rex’s images also work on the devterm

In fact I think the form factor of the devterm was much better but that is just my personal opinion <3.
At the end in theory, it can host the same hardware as the uconsole 
People say this, but I’m running A04.
The uConsole’s hardware might be largely the same, but the display isn’t. The DevTerm’s display is still shifted up a few pixels, and that was never addressed.
the non pi cores never got the required community support and official images are just a proof of concept, but looking at pictures of my cm4 devterm, the screen is fine

also, tbh I do not mind anything about that part of the screen. In my case I keep the same project as before with a new devterm.
do you know that you can easily manipulate screen in X11? like shift screen or create a new resolution?
X11 is highly configurable (wayland kinda crap)
