Do the new gameshell kits arriving this week need to be updated?

i’ve seen on here mention of gameshell os 0.3 is available but does this need to be installed on the new device I got today or was it already installed - apologies if this is a dumb question I am new at this!

If it does need to be installed is there a tutorial or anything I can follow? Also is there somewhere on the GS where it says the version number? I couldn’t see anything in the “about” section,

The game shells that have been sent out are OS version 0.23, you can update to 0.3 if you wish to but it is unstable for now

ah ok, i’ll hold off until it’s more stable then. don’t want to break it just as I got it.
