You are a legend. Thank you for your hard work.
Epic. My board is in my country, so I should have it in a couple days. My whole goal with the uConsole was for the SDR, so this is exactly what Iâve been waiting for. I suppose Iâll grab another SD card and start with a fresh bookworm.
Not epic: using CM4. ![]()
you can reuse it as server and buy cm5 instead!
@Chris_McMahon @Pizza247
Iâve just uploaded a new package to try. Just update and upgrade.
Hi Rex,
Thank you for your huge work on this project. I am trying to install you package for HackerGadgets AIO,but without success, same error as others had. I did short âdebugâ, and I think problem is in deb file âpostinstâ in line:
cp â/tmp/config.yamlâ â/etc/meshtasticd/config.yamlâ
In my case, during install, there is no â/tmp/config.yamlâ file, it does not exist, so it generates an error, and rest of postinst is not executed. After I manually did steps after âcpâ command (all sed commands on config.txt and config.yaml), installation of package goes with success. Hope it helps a little
Chris
if you apt update and install it again it should work now. I fixed that error with the config.yaml
I have v1.26 of deb package, and all my findings are based on this version.
I cannot see newer one at this moment. so I will look for it in the morning, and now it is time to sleep, it is 2:10 AM here ![]()
Thanks for testing and the newest one is v1.27
success! Thank you so much! What was the underlying issue out of curiosity?
Not sure I couldnât get it to not read the files in /tmp so I removed them and just download the files from my repo as needed. If I had to guess something cleaned out /tmp between unpacking the package and installing it.
This ![]()
I can confirm, it is working for me too. Thank you very much!
Edit: issue sorted after fresh install of the bookworm image, likely a quirk from a something I had installed.
Package worked a charm, thanks Rex.
Did you make any changes to the config.txt? Can you ssh into the machine?
All sorted Rex, thanks.
@Rex this is cool and pretty impressive, but it would be even cooler if the package had the native qt5 version of Meshtastic UI working. The Meshtastic maintainers primarily use their windowed QT UI version for development, but it could work well in this use-case.
I only mention because I largely hate web-apps. ![]()
I wasnât aware of such a thing! Iâll look into it, thanks for the info!
CM5 or 4?
Did you reboot after install?
Try reinstalling the package.
Just got the u console, have a Cm5 I did reboot, flashed your actual bookworm firmwareâŚsdr and the rest is working, only Meshtastic not
Looks like the Webserver isnât running
