HackerGadgets AIO Board Package

I use meshtastic web with hg’s aio v2 expansion board. I can send and receive messages, but all the timestamp of received messages are 1970/1/1. The timestamp is normal with meshtastic mui app.

I have the AIO v2 board. Meshtastic seems to work after I installed the package and set up a service to have it run on startup.

I can launch SDR++brown but I cannot see any waveforms at all. Also the gain appears locked.

lsusb shows the Realtek RTL. I’ve selected in in the SDR ux. Set up an audio sink. Hit play but no waveforms even as I scan round. I’m using the left hand port connected to the SDR u.FL on the expansion board.

Dmesg logs seem happy and no rtl related errors. Anything else I can try?

I assume I should see low level noise even if there’s no strong signal. But there’s no FFT or signal at all.

I’m using Rex’s image for Trixie, Wayland and gnome. And Rex’s is taller package for AIO v2. I’ve tried reinstalling that.

To answer my own post. The readsb service was the issue. Just had to stop the service with systemctl

Would someone please forward the package or a valid apt link to it please?

aiov2_ctl is installed, but it keeps throwing errors related to hackergadgets-uconsole-aio-board can’t be found.

Yes, i used --add-apps, and it throws that error every time.

Thanks!

Emailing my personal email for support is not acceptable and I do not appreciate it. Please refer to this post.

It’s stuff like this that make me feel like I should delete everything and remove myself from any kind of device support that I am not directly employed for.

nobody can help you if you don’t post the actual errors

I don’t think they’re even running one of my images, the fact that the package is not found tells me my repo is not in the image they’re using.

Apologies.

Twenty characters.

Please re-read what I posted.

By that I mean the full commands you ran and all their output
Sometimes there’s multiple errors, and sometimes people make typos

And as rex suggested which image are you using?

I followed the instructions listed, and I am using the bookworm image.

I am going to start from scratch, to include downloading the bookworm image again.

I will reply with a screen grab of the error if it repeats.

I started with: aiov2_ctl --install, and when that finished a followed up with aiov2_ctl --add-apps, and it is at this step that I get the ‘can’t find hackergadgets-uconsole-aio-board package’ error.

Which is when I started asking for the specified package.

Thanks!

It sounds like you’re using the clockwork provide image. You need you one my images. The clockwork images don’t have my apt repo configured, that’s why it’s not finding the package.

Hi all, long time lurker, first time posting! I’ve read a few posts but nothing I could see that was similar  anyway, not long ago I received my second uConsole and the Hacker Gadgets AIOv2 bundle, using that to install a CM5 lite with lululvlv’s heatsink.

Boots up fine into Rex’s Bookworm image, but I’m not seeing any lights on the expansion board when I power it on. I’ve re-seated the ribbon cable (the right, I checked) a couple of times just in case it was misaligned.

Is there anything I can check to see if the board is getting power? Still to finish attaching antennas etc, but the lack of lights worries me. Any help, suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated :folded_hands: Hope it’s not dead :skull:

by default almost everything on the aiov2 is powered off, so you need to turn on the right GPIO pins to enable them
but the rtc should always have power, so you can verify that’s getting power with i2c detect

your ribbon cable is also upside down so the usb3 won’t work and according to the store page charging the device with the cable upside down can damage stuff

1st time I did,

Then I dl’d yours, same result.

Gonna download it again, and try next weekend.

Thanks!

It’s in the repo are you running apt update before trying to install the package. If you’re trying to install it straight from a clean image without running apt update first then apt doesn’t have a list of packages from all the repos saved yet.

Thanks dude, I was sure I checked but hopefully it won’t damage anything.:crossed_fingers: Is there a way to check if anything has been damaged on the main board?
