I use a 256GB SD with plenty room left, but I do have two of those, one in the back of my pironman 5,
And one which I use on w/e Pi I need a extra drive,

But I love the Sharge, it has a 1TB SSD AND write protection..

Did sudo meshtastic-ui , then activated GPS, didnt get a signal, re-activatingā€¦nope..

Can send and receive from and to my lilygo T-Deck,
but have to bring up the in-app keyboard and use enter to be able to send the message, you can type but pressing enter on uConsole doesnā€™t work.

did you enable the gps in the position tab in the meshtastic web ui?
i have to look into why the user canā€™t access the gps when i get a chance.

Yes, I tried everything I could think of;

  • Run the ui normal and as sudo, while trying the below
  • Activated GPS by icon, went outside for 10 minutes.
  • Deactivated the GPS, rebooted,
  • installed newest version (there was a update available)
  • Came here to cry (j/k)

Iā€™ve updated the package and separated out all the programs. Please do sudo apt --install-recommends reinstall hackergadgets-uconsole-aio-board
Iā€™ve also got GPS working for users, no root needed with the CM4 now.

I feel your pain! I too am new to Linux, Iā€™ve only been using it for a couple of months. Iā€™m just an old Luddite amateur radio operator that wants to learn, and it doesnā€™t come easy in your later life.

Are you familiar with this?

I want my uConsole to run as many osint and pen testing tools as possible, that will never be boring.

IMHO this is the ultimate device to spend my sparce free time on.

Hmmm, PyGPS doesnā€™t see any sattelites, stood outside for 15 minutes but nada.

Meshtastic got a GPS fix in less then 10 seconds..

Should I reinstall?

did you change any configs?
if meshtastic got a lock then itā€™s working right for the user now.
you can try reinstalling. my tests were done on a clean install of bookworm.
