Has the pandemic increased the demand for FOSS technology solutions? Why or why not?

Let’s talk about the demand for FOSS solutions since the COVID-19 pandemic. What is your experience and/or thoughts about the FOSS community as a whole before, during, and tapering-off of the pandemic?

If you mean like Zoom and MS Meeting?? (nope free but not open source) streaming software under YouTube (free but also not open source) those type applications have been used heavily by me and those around me during the last three years and there have been huge advancements.

My take is,

Good economy = yeah open source that’s how we do it
Bad economy = moats, dark patterns, money suckers, FOSS rule breakers, whatever ugly stuff you can think of
