Did you plugged it in with the ClockworkPi already running or before booting it up?

You need a reasonably recent OS for it to work, but the latest clearly work, but I don’t think it work to switch on the fly

it worked for 0.4 but i’m getting a rather small window in the middle of my TV with a large gameshell wallpaper on the background (?!)… kinda defeats the purpose of having an HDMI out .

Hopefully that’s only in the launcher. It’s in a 320x240 window.
If the background wallpaper is taking up a full screen, then it’s working properly.
When running games etc, it should match to whatever resolution you set the emulator etc to use. Most Retroarch configs are set to run in a full screen window. That should maximise to take up the entire space.
What were you running, besides the launcher?
