Help.txt not found

Hi,

I copied some files on to the supplier SD card but when I type “help” at the prompt it displays message “Error : A:/help.txt not found”, can’t remember if it had such file and have I corrupted the SD card, can someone please advise?

Thank you.

You can read about it in this thread:

Thank you.

At least I haven’t corrupted anything, phew, only received last week and built this week.

The latest help.txt leaves a lot to be desired and often returns nothing (try entering it differently) but you’ll soon get the hang of it. Note you can edit it yourself to improve and update…

Hints re getting results from ‘help’….

‘Help str$’ gives nothing. Using wildcards can help sometimes. I.e. help str$*

Use ‘help i2c’ for i2c2 commands.

Help * for all topics !. Good bedtime read.

Ctrl-c to escape from long results.

I’m considering editing the help file so that all commands, functions, mminfo, options, variable types etc are easier to access and apply to the latest version….

Thank you.

I am new to the Pico in geneal and PicoCalc, ordered a uConsole too.

Once get my head round the syntax/format might try doing somweting with the help.txt file. Saw somewhere the layiout/format couldn’t follow it, ear;ly doors, thouigh.

Cheers.

Just litterally installed help2, had a play, yep, no results and help2 * gives syntax error, so more research, for later. I think refer to the manual pdf on my tablet for now. :joy:
