Sorry for the newbie questions, but couldnt find answers to the following anywhere and/or got multiple different answers to the same question:
My PicoCalc shipped with a Pico H - so no WiFi/Bluetooth, is this the norm or are they supposed to come shipped with a Pico W as a minimum?
Where do I get a copy of the actual uf2 firmware that the PicoCalc shipped with
What are all the Pico boards supported
What are all the chip details for the main board (controllers for display, keyboard etc)
What are the 2 dip switches on the motherboard for?
Exactly what driver does the display use?
Is the USB C port really the default serial port connection for e.g. bootsel, Thonny etc? I’ve tried to use it but only the micro USB on the Pico board seems to be recognized for bootsel/Thonny connections
Thanks!
Pico, Pico W, Pico 2, Pico 2W, and many clone boards and upgraded boards are pin compatible and will work if you can find corresponding software to drive the board. The pico 1 and pico 2 and their clones are the most supported boards with the Luckfox Lyra being the most popular non-RP2040/RP2350 based board i’ve seen covered.
Setting dip switch 1 on the mobo to ON puts the STM32 into programming mode. Not sure about the other one.
I’m not sure about 4, 6 & 7 so I’ll let someone else chime in on those.
