I tried the mp3player app. When I selected BellLabs_Fine.mp3 from the playlist, I had to turn the volume knob all the way up to hear any sound. With the Picocalc held up to my ear, I could detect a beat, and some spectral-sounding notes. It was too faint to make any more sense out of it.
This is a new Picocalc with nothing changed from what clockworkpi sent me.
the picocalc uses two (one for each speaker) AW8010 class-D amplifiers which top out at about <2W with the supply voltage, driving tiny cavity speakers which weren’t given output holes on the case
a hi-fi it isn’t
oh, also, i trust you took the stickers covering the speakers off before assembling your picocalc?
