Problems with serial connection on Mac

Hey,
I am trying to connect the PicoCalc via USB C to my Mac.
I see the device (/dev/tty.usbmodem11401) and I tried minicom, screen, and tio (using 115200 baud).
The programs connect, but then the connection is labeled as “offline”.

The keyboard is disabled – so the connection is detected by the PicoCalc.
Any suggestions?

Had the same problem, ended up just being the cable I was using.

I have the same issue- I used terminal to connect, it connects but then nothing, no cursor just a blank terminal screen. If I unplug the device it shows as disconnected, so it is definitely doing something. I am using a Pico 2W with the latest webmite build from this site.

I tried multiple cables, including the one that I have here running a keypad powered by a pico. But none of them worked.
Anyone any other ideas?

I do not have my PicoCalc yet, and I am not sure this helps, but there is the serial port on the pico (pins 1 and 2) that are connected to the USB-C port on the PicoCalc, and there is the virtual USB serial port on the micro-USB of the Pico. I am not sure which one webmite is expecting?

So, try either a USB-C to USB-C to the PicoCalc or USB-C to micro-USB to the Pico and see if either works.

Cannot say why it works now – but it does.

It’s the USB C port of the device you want to connect to.
The Mini USB is only for flashing / updating the Pico.
