Using game arrow keys for mouse movement

I installed apt xserver-xorg-input-joystick and it does move the pointer around as I want, but the speed is too high and it is hard to get the pointer to where I want it. Can’t seem to find where some sort of config file is and want I need to add to slow it down.

DevTerm with CM3.

Not sure about the joystick, but if you’re familiar with python you can write a simple script to control the mouse with the arrow keys. I can elaborate further if you wish.
