When should deliveries of PicoCalc start?

Good morning,

I am a huge fan of my uConsole, so I went ahead and ordered a PicoCalc. I was just wondering when we should expect deliveries to start? It took about 9 months for the uConsole, so I want to level-set my expectations a bit.

This is great news. It sounds like this has a much smaller lead time. I’ll let you all know when I receive mine. I’ll expect a week or two. I’m in Colorado. Thanks.

Wow that was hella fast! I ordered mine the same day and I have no shipping notification so I wonder if there was an in stock batch and some got them but now we await another batch.

If you don’t mind me asking, what country are you in? I’m in the UK.

I literally just got an email confirmation that mine has been despatched to the UK! We should start a gang :joy:

Same here (UK) PicoCalc order no. 33xxx placed ~10 days ago and the shipping email notification arrived today with a FedEx tracking link (package still in HK). My plan is to put a MicroPython environment on the PicoCalc and use it as a cli shell with a bunch of custom utility tools I already use.

I was hoping to do the same thing. But sounds like we’re not missing out since it apparently doesn’t work (yet) anyway, at least with the PicoMite based firmware. See this thread…

Just an update to this as I know people will be watching like a hawk. It was despatched two days ago and the delivery from FedEx to the UK is currently scheduled for Thursday 27th March (in 3 days). All-in-all, from despatch to the UK it’s almost a week for delivery. Happy days!

I may have missed a post here or on the discord, but so far it sounds like no one from the US has received a shipment email yet. They might be bundling them up by country to send them out. There was speculation in the past that might have been happening with other devices.

One of the benefits of getting a device later is that you are less likely to be participating in hardware QA. Clockwork has traditionally done really well with that, but there have been issues in the past with things, like the original black paint on the uConsole, etc. So receiving a device later reduces the chance that you might need to do a support request to get a replacement part. :wink:
