Been playing around with the WS2812 Neo Pixel strips. I managed to daisy chain 5 around the edge of the Picocalc rear case.

do the green and blue LEDs light up fine with only 3v3 input or are you using a step-up converter?
Before MPJA went out of business I built up quite a stock pile of these in a 5mm LED through-hole package. Even though they are spec’d at 5v I often run them at 3v3 to cut down the brightness. At a full 5v they can be quite blinding. I’ve not had trouble with any of the primary colors.
