Last night I was able to get my XReal One Pro’s to work with the uConsole. It’s a very nice addition to something that probably can cause neck strain if you use it by itself.
COMPONENTS
- XReal One Pro ( XREAL - Building Augmented Reality for Everyone ) or XReal 1S ( XREAL - Building Augmented Reality for Everyone )
- HDMI to USB C Adapter Cable (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B5XBYQSM)
- Mini HDMI to HDMI Adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHS6Z12Q)
- (OPTIONAL) Some USB Powerbank…if you don’t have the HackerGadgets expansion board (【Pre-Order】uConsole Upgrade Kit - Adding NVMe SSD/RJ45 Ethernet/ USB 3 – Hacker Gadgets)
SETUP
It’s pretty straight-forward setup but does require one of these splitter cables. I have HDMI capture cards which I could have tried as well but well… first, I’m a sucker for braided cables and secondly, ths just tends to travel better (oh, and it’s cheaper). If you want to take your privacy to the extreme, you can disable the internal screen so as to not show anything but given that you will be working off a screen that nobody can see, it’s probably fine. ![]()
