A06 replacement

I replaced my A06 board with CM4 adapter board and CM5 card . I tried with dragon_os CM4 OS . I have had the Ubuntu prompt and blank screen after . I know CM5 is still not avalaible and I ll wait for it . I have an hardware problem clockpi wan’t to go off . the switch ON/OFF stay in green and I have to remove batteries in order to switch off . I have the LTE board . Did someone already have this problem ? thanks for answer . I think it is wifi antenna . is WIFI antenna stay plugged on the main board or it has to be connected to the CM5 board ?

Dragon OS only works with cm4 currently, Wi-Fi needs to be plugged into the cm5 not the main board. The power pin to hard reset changed from cm4 to the cm5 so hard resetting will not work with the cm5.

thanks for answer . Wait for CM5 support . my A06 was unused for almost one year !!

The a06 boards seem to sit in storage after the initial testing.

Mine lasted about 6 months in my Devterm years ago, before I upgraded to a CM4. As far as I know, it sill works, but performance was not obviously better than the CM4, and all the nonsense with the gear shifting was fun at first but without performance gains to back it up just made it more fiddly. I had trouble getting some source to build too, while everything seems to build fine on the CM4 because it’s a “standard” platform.

It might have been possible to run the A06 faster, but seemed to run hot. I could never get it cooled well enough to avoid throttling and actually make use of whatever extra performance it might provide. So I ran it with only some of the cores active. CM4 was a nice upgrade though.
