Do sudo apt autoclean && sudo apt clean then sudo apt update && sudo apt reinstall clockworkpi-theme
thank you rex. I think it works
I did make a change last night and forgot to bump the version number. Thatās why it was giving you problems. I didnāt add anything, I just had to make a change to the control file so it could be installed on Trixie. I did just bump the version number so it should update fine now for everyone.
Oh good to know. You just changed some letters in text file and it affected me who lives in korea ![]()
Yep, the problem came because I spaced updating the packageās version number. So APT seen the file changed but it had the same version, so it had a brain fart.
Evening Rex ā¦. So I got my new CM5 board delivered today and the above memory card you recommended. The New CM5 is the Lite version where as the old CM5 was the emmc version. I got the new SD Card flashed and the new CM5 installed but all i get on the screen is a very bried flash of the Clockwork Pi logo. I know you were saying before something about the change from emmc to the Lite maybe being a tripping point when installing it? Looks like I am in need of recommendations again since I cant get it to fully boot. -Brian-
On first boot the OS should start for a second resize the file system and reboot. Have you waited for a bit?
You got the TeamGroup pro card that was linked?
Yes U got the TeamGroup pro card you linked. I get the initial Clockworkpi screen background very briefly then it powers off but DOES NOT come back on.
Did you apply any custom settings when flashing the image. like username, wifi?
I am also using your Bookwork 6.12.40.img link you sent me the link to.
Donāt apply any custom settings, if you did try again without.
Yes I did.. shit.. Ill reflash it not using any.. Hopefully thats the issue
That did it thanks again Rex your invaluable with this uconsole knowledge!!
My pleasure! 20 characters!
Hahaha Understood! 20 Characters! hehehe
Hey Rex, first of all, thanks for all the work youāre doing to make this platform worthwhile. I really appreciate it, and just bought you some coffees. I wanted to share two datapoints on the CM5 modules. I first attempted to use your latest image on a CM5 with 16GB RAM and 64GB eMMC. It flashed fine, but wouldnāt boot. I tried to boot it using the CM5 IO board, and I got a pattern of 8 blinks from the green LED on the board, which appears to mean SDRAM not recognized. I then flashed the same image on a CM5 with 8GB RAM and 32GB eMMC with the same process and same image, and that worked fine. (Actually it worked really well. Very impressive.) It looks like the 16GB is a newer model, so maybe it needs some sort of updated firmware support or something like that? Or I suppose itās possible that my CM5 is busted. I did drop it on the floor. Anyways, thanks again for your hard work.
Oh damn, with your 16gb ram one iād try flashing the stock RPi OS and try in your IO board and see if itās working. Others have used the 16gb model fine in the uConsole, could have been a bad flash maybe? If it is broke maybe you can RMA it?
Iām glad your 8gb one is working though. Thanks for the coffees I really appreciate it!
Yeah, I tried flashing with a stock image and now it wonāt flash at all, so I guess itās busted. Oh well. Thanks again!
I got my issue resolved. When I was connecting the uConsole to my USB hub, it would cycle the power on my monitor. This caused the uConsole to not see the external monitor as a display option. Once I changed power sources, the uConsole with CM5 booted off my 1TB sd card with no issues. I did update the eeprom as per the original post. Iāve had no issues since then.
Hey Rex, thank you for your hard working. Just got my Clockwork today. No matter how many time I flashed the same img that worked on my CM4 but it does not work with my CM5 (8GB, 64GB EMMC). It seems like the 64GB EMMC model doesnt boot. Do you have any solution? Thanks a lot.
