Spending this morning getting this uconsole built and setup. Its ready to boot.
What do you guys think is the best current CM5 image out there? I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
highly recommend to buy screen protector from point #9: GitHub - cjstoddard/Clockworkpi-uConsole: 10 things to do after you get your ClockworkPi uConsole
also you can check:
I have the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 - Lite / 8GB / Wireless Ă— 1 do i use the external sd card or internal on the CM5?
seems like sdcard, but you can check by model number on the box
I mean do i boot from the external sd card slot on the uconsole or i need to put the card into the cm5?
you need to insert card into slot on the top of uconsole near power button
I seem to just have a blank screen.I have a green light lit on power.Using a damsung 512GB sd card.
I wrote this image Bookworm 6.12.y for the uConsole and DevTerm
Did you apply any custom setting to the image during flash. Have you tried different a SD card? Some SD cards don’t work at first you need to edit the EEPROM to make the CM5 boot more reliable with SD cards. Info in the OP of that like.
Hi Rex i didnt apply any settings i unzipped the .img and wrote with system32 imager. I not tried any other card yet
I’d try a few cards if you have them, the smaller the better. You only have to get it booted and change the EEPROM once and it will stick with the CM5. Then you can use what ever SD card you want.
Trying the 32gb sd card that came witht the kit. how do i change the eeprom is there a link?
Do you mean this.
If you have a CM5 lite and are having problems with the sd card booting. Try this solution by @paragonnov Your CM5 lite has to have updated firmware that was released after 2025-01-06. Check using vcgencmd version
to update sudo rpi-eeprom-update
sudo rpi-eeprom-config -e
To edit the eeprom.
backup current config, then replace with:
Yes that section, just replace with that code block and save.
Its booted up with a 32GB card now
Good, just make the EEPROM change and then try the bigger SD card.
I need to update the cm5 firmware first yes?
yes you should update it just like it says in the post.
Is it normal to hear some interference noice in the uconsole?
