Bookworm 6.6.y for the uConsole and DevTerm

do you now how to rotate it for sddm? mine old way does not work, xrandr does not return display name(before was DSI-1)

the device charges when off just slowly, it sounds like you might have some bad batteries. what kind of batteries do you have?
what desktop are you using that’s using sddm?

So I accidentally updated to labwc (mega fat finger), is there no way to fix screen rotation without having to redo my entire install?

Yes, install raindrop and change the desktop rotation in the app.
For the login screen issue this command: sed -i '1 a wlr-randr --output DSI-1 --transform 270 &' "${ROOTFS_DIR}/usr/share/labwc/autostart" to fix login/lockscreen rotation.

samsung one. I installed kde-plasma, all works fine on before 6.6.57-60. I added xrandr script and all orientations worked fine

Try and run calibration on the battery:

Your rotation all fixed now then?

Will the CM3+ lite work with this image? Just want to try something in my Devterm while I still wait for my uConsole and extra adapter to arrive.

I know ram might be an issue, can’t remember if processor will also be an issue.

All orientation is correct, except the login screen. If bypass it(autologin) - all is fine, but this is not secure

It should except wifi/bt won’t work, make sure to change to the devterm overlay in the config.txt before booting.

I’ll have to look around and see what I can find to change it.

the command you posted worked. I have never used raindrop but after trying to install it i got this error “error: snap “raindrop” is not available on stable for this architecture (arm64)
but exists on other architectures (amd64).”

is this the right raindrop you are referencing?

in the terminal do sudo apt install raindrop its not a snap but a normal debain package.

oh shit I tried that already and checked my history “sudo apt install randrop”, sorry for wasting your time LOL

FYI… this latest labwc update breaks login rotation but Rex’s command fixes it. I went ahead and put it into a shell script for future updates.

just wanted to give this image a try and it seems like i found a bug.
Using the lite 6.6.60 image without any modifications, my uconsole power on, shows some kernel messages and shuts down immediately. Pretty sure this is one of the bugs i had a while ago with other images when using a CM4 with emmc as the boot device.

Can someone confirm this or even better: know a fix?

on first boot, the machine will boot and expand the file system then reboot. this is normal.

sadly no, not a filesystem expansion, it just shuts down permanently and every time. :frowning:

are you using any custom setting when flashing the image, like with Raspberry Pi imager?

  • don’t use any custom settings.

are you flashing the compressed or decompressed image?

  • flash the compressed image.

can you take a picture of the kernel messages you’re getting?

flashed the compressed, no custom settings, unable to see the kernel messages as they disappear extremly fast. i’ll send you a video via PM.

as i said, i know this behaviour (sadly) from a lot of images when flashed to a CM4 with eMMC

it’s hard to see because of the angle and the moving, but try and expand the filesystem yourself. flash the image then expand the rootfs volume before you try and boot the CM4

does the full bookworm image work?
