Can I put a CM3 in a A04 Devterm

Hi,

I recently found a supplier selling a A04 Devterm 2 GB. I’d like to buy it but I’m more comfortable with the Pi.

Can I switch out the A04 on the unit and replace it with a raspberry CM3.

Would this impact the usability or any functions of the device?

I have a CM3 in my DevTerm. Works great.

Yes but can replace the A04 core in a devterm with a CM3. Does that work ?

The short answer is, yes.

Yes, the cores are swappable. If you get CPi’s carrier board for the CM4, you can put a CM4 in it, too. The R01 is a RISC-V chip (Allwinner D1), not even ARM like the A04/A06 and works in the same hardware, the uConsole and the DevTerm. It’s really cool, I have swapped cores between devices.
