Hello everyone,
I’m planning to upgrade my DEVTERM from a CM4 to a CM5. I’m hoping to avoid a full system reinstallation and would like to know if it’s possible to directly use the TF card that currently boots my CM4 on the CM5.
My CM4 TF card originally had ClockworkPi’s DevTerm_CM4_v0.3e_xfce_64bit image installed, but I’ve since upgraded it to the latest Debian 12. I’m wondering if there are any necessary steps I need to take before swapping the CM4 for the CM5 to ensure compatibility and smooth booting. Specifically:
-
Are there any configuration changes I need to make on the CM4 before the swap? (e.g., firmware updates)
-
Should I expect any issues related to hardware differences between the two boards?
Any advice or experience from others who have done this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
