No matter what I try I always get this error. I’ve redone the SD card and followed the directions exactly.

Yeah I’ve redone it a bunch of times and followed the directions carefully it’s very confusing… I got it to work once and everything seemed fine and I haven’t been able to since. I’ve got a lot of experience with Linux so redoing the SD card isn’t something I think I’d make mistakes on. I wish there was a way to validate the contents of the partition but I couldn’t find anything to do so for the file system FUZIX uses.

OK, This is new
So let’s confirm that, you did the sd card like the wiki says, and you ran the FUZIX like PicoCalc/Bin/PicoCalc SD/firmware/PicoCalc_Fuzix_v1.0.uf2 at master · clockworkpi/PicoCalc · GitHub
and it just shows the

So because I’m testing the Pimoroni Pico Plus 2 W for uf2loader I decided to try flashing it instead. I flashed:
1745c60e17fe60444e7e7f8ac3091729 PicoCalc_Fuzix_v1.1_pico2.uf2
And FUZIX booted fine, so it’s not the SD card. When I get a chance I’ll test the Pico1 board that came with my PicoCalc with the following file:
2fcb133f5c7f8b8bd85b3f6037ce239d PicoCalc_Fuzix_v1.0.uf2
Unless there’s a 1.1 for the Pico1 somewhere?

No there is 1.1 Fuzix for Pico1
but you can always compile your own version of FUZIX based on the patches from PicoCalc
