Collecting MMBasic code examples for PicoCalc

This has come up before, but I’m not sure we ever figured out the cause. I’m not sure what version of the software the PicoCalc ships with these days but it’s likely both the BIOS/firmware for the keyboard/STM32 are old and the PicoMite version is probably old and buggy as well. Not sure if either of these would cause this problem, but updating to the latest version would likely avoid other problems.

I tried oregon.bas, slots.bas, matrix.bas, blackjack.bas, alien.bas, lunar.bas, and m8ball.bas. All game me the error “Error: Not enough memory” If I run the memory command, it says there’s 287k program memory free and under RAM, 336K free. Even on a clean boot, the errors still happen. But if I run my own hello world program or the included “lorenz.bas” program that came with it, they run just fine.

I can create a file on drive b: with EDIT “test.bas” When pressing F1 it saves the file to SD card. When editing the file again I get the error on pressing F1: Error : Not enough Heap memory This only happens on drive b:. On drive A: everything is fine. I’m using PicoMite V6.00.01

Last time, when the files were downloaded from github a certain way it worked (see the first thread). So it might just be with how you downloaded the source files you’re trying to use and somehow they are getting mangled?
