I connected the antenna to the CM5 and confirmed the config.txt is set to dtparam=ant2, but the signal is extremely weak, while my phone shows full signal strength.
the antenna is too close to the metal of the case, carefully remove the sticker from the case and add a spacer between the antenna and the case
Double sided foam tape is an easy spacer, but I think there’s also some 3d printed designs floating around
yeah gonna be very weak with the stock antenna, completely normal, if you wanna keep the sticker antenna seperate it from the housing a bit with some cardboard or piece of plastic and you will see results, but really…just attach a sma jack and screw a wifi antenna on, the difference is extreme
I suggest replacing the stock antenna with this:

You can easily find this for print here: uConsole micro antenna 0.2 mount by m3x | Download free STL model | Printables.com
And many more - just you need print it ![]()
I think is cheapest option ![]()
yeah, isnt pretty but works for now. Now you got three options that im aware of. Keep it, replace it with a 3d printed solution or attach the antenna forest from hackergadgets, the latter will solve any further antenna issues i assure you. Kinda…sticks out tho
i bought a standard cm4 wifi antenna and drilled it on the case. big and ugly, but i unscrew it when i take my uconsole out on its daily walk
just so you know the original antenna doesnt work because of someone called Faraday. someone DM him to get his shit fixed. i had enough of this guy
OP, I designed this spacer. You’ll need some longer screws & thicker thermal pad to accommodate the 1mm thickness but it fixed the signal issue using the stock antenna. See link
