My uconsole cannot read wifi what is the reason
bad antenna, try to put something 2-3mm between metal case and antenna, some foam or whatever
did you connect your antenna to socket on mainboard? it should be connected to the compute module.
does your compute module has wifi?
With the default wifi antenna mount from the manual, you Need to hash out the line with ‚ant2’ in /boot/configure.txt and reboot.
Thema the wifi works as expected.
Michael
By removing the ant2 line you’re switching to the pcb antenna on the compute module, that’s not the proper fix for bad wifi.
The default antenna placement is bad, but easily fixed with a foam tape spacer, or some regular double sided tape and a few mm of any non conductive material between the antenna and the metal case
I got. my Uconsole last week and I assembled it in accordance of the paper manual.
Here the wifi antenna is getting connected to the mainboard pcb but this will Not work with ant2.
Let’s See which recommendation is solving it.
Michael
yes the antenna sticker doesn’t work when too close to the metal of the case, ant 2 is the external antenna connector on the compute module, ant1 is the little triangular pcb antenna on the compute module, the antenna connector on the main board can’t be used by a cm4/5 that goes to an entirely different wifi module that’s not connected on the adapter board
Ohh you are right. I connected it to the mainboard, even I am using a CM4. Need to change that. Thank you.
