It’s basically just a politeness thing from what I see it as, when other people need to look at your code.

It’s possible to specify at the top of a shell script which shell it should be run with using a shebang. A script may specify #!/bin/bash on the first line, meaning that the script should always be run with bash, rather than another shell.

That naming of Pokémon emerald looked like it was the culprit. Looks good to me. Also watch out for your computer being too smart and autocorrecting it to Pokémon instead of Pokemon.

Another thing. I generally put all scripts, changes and everything I add into ~/apps/Menu. I do this, to prevent anything getting overwritten or erased when doing a git checkout on the launcher, which essentially purges everything in there with what is expected to be there. It will still work putting it within the launcher. Just watch out when doing an update.

Normally, that line is used by editors to define the type of file being edited.
