I am not an electrical engineer, but if I can get a device that can convert HDMI to USB-C DP Alt mode, why couldn’t I stuff the chips it uses onto the schematic? Setting aside the problem of also doing data transfer over the USB-C charging port, if the mainboard were to massage the compute module’s video output through whatever necessary protocol adaptations, I think one could make USB-C DP alt mode work on the uConsole without the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s help.
