Anyone else having issues with their Uconsole after the latest update? Mine won’t turn on. Using the bookworm OS. Its just a blank screen (backlight appears though)
try to connect it to external display via HDMI
Just tried that, My Uconsole won’t detect the sd card.
good opportunity to update to trixie!
is there a guide that I can follow for the update?
So I’ve formatted my sd card, reinstalled everything and still my Uconsole won’t detect it. What am I missing?
are you using a cm4 or cm5?
and do you have a different SD card you can try?
Cm4, Tried flashing another sd card and it doesn’t detect. And now nothing shows up when I connect it to HDMI. Using this image - uConsole_CM4_v3.1_64bit.img.bz2 64 bit , April 14th release.
Odd question, but did you mean update of Debian or update of firmware for the CM4?
It was a software update. I installed that and then my Uconsole stopped reading the sd card for some reason. Tried flashing another sd card with the latest image but still no luck.
nothing at all, black screen all the time even if you boot without sd card?
can you please press on CM4 module, may be it should be re-seated?
The backlight on the screen is on but nothing shows up even when I connect HDMI. yes I’ve tried reseating the cm4 heard the snap too. I kept the uconsole on for a while, noticed that the cm4 heats up so it is working but it does not read the sd card.
This is almost coming to the level of checking of your CM4 works, as in do you have another CM motherboard you can try your CM4 on?
Or maybe even another CM4/5?
Make sure your cm4 is seated properly push it down firmly. I have noticed if your using thermal blocks it lifts the cm4 cm5 up from the board because it’s quite sticky.
very true lol, it is exactly what happened to my cm5, the sticky thermal stuck and lifted the cm5 lightly causing me to panic as it won’t boot, a cm5 reseat did the trick
I also had the same issue.
I used 3 M2,5 screws + 3D printed washers(1,5 mm height) to assemble the CM5 with the daughter board.
Now, I can easily but carefully open my Uconsole
No, not really the cm4 heats up tho when it’s on but screen is blank. Do you think I need to buy another motherboard or cm4?
if you have extra $20 you can buy an ‘input output board’ for cm4 and test if it works by itself without uconsole hardware.
yeah I’ll definitely check if I can get this
i lost a cm5 for broquen headers, be carefull when reseat the computer module
